Statutory text

Section numbers, and the plain facts of what a statute says, are not owned by anyone — they are public record. Our section-mapping summaries, punishment descriptions, and explanations are our own original summaries written for clarity, not verbatim reproductions of the bare Act or of any publisher's annotated commentary.

What we do not reproduce

We do not copy verbatim commentary, footnotes, or editorial annotations from copyrighted law publishers (e.g. annotated bare Act editions). If you believe any content on DharaSetu improperly reproduces copyrighted material, contact us with details and we will review and correct it promptly.

Using our content

You may link to and quote short excerpts of DharaSetu for non-commercial, editorial, or academic use with attribution. Bulk scraping or republishing our compiled datasets without permission is not permitted.
