These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DharaSetu (the "Service"), a software product operated by DharaSetu ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service is

DharaSetu is a software reference tool that helps users look up correspondences between repealed Indian criminal statutes (the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and Indian Evidence Act) and their 2024 replacements (the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), along with related calculators and reference guides. DharaSetu is a software/information service, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice or representation.

2. No legal advice; reference only

Content on the Service is provided for general reference and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified advocate and must be verified against the official bare Act and Gazette notifications before being relied upon in any legal proceeding, filing, or decision.

3. Free and Pro plans

Guides are free and unlimited; the IPC → BNS converter includes 5 free lookups, and you can create a case brief and track up to 3 cases for free. The optional paid plan — Pro (₹299/month or ₹2,699/year) — unlocks unlimited use of every tool and is described on our Pricing page and billed through Razorpay. 4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at abusive scale, or use it to violate any applicable law.

5. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DharaSetu is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on content provided through the Service.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
